My name is Mira Tonioni, born in Italy in the Aurora Community – Integral Yoga Center – where I lived until I was 20, taking a diploma as a surveyor and a degree in Herbal Techniques. In 2007 I moved to Tuscany where I deepened the study of holistic medicines, agriculture and natural nutrition. I have a master’s degree in naturopathy and I specialize in vegetarian and vegan food and nutrition. I have worked on many public and private educational projects with groups of adults or children for 10 years. My passion is the design and creation of synergistic gardens, edible gardens and food forests using the basics of permaculture and organic agriculture. Since I was a child, I have visited Auroville with my parents and around me I have always had the words of Mother and Sri Aurobindo. Since 2016 I have been living in Auroville with my son Kavi and my partner Ion. We also live in the Anitya community which is a new project on “Joi of impermanence” based on the community spirit, the self-construction of buildings with natural materials, take care of the environment and the design follows the principles of permaculture. I have been a facilitator in TLC since 2019 and my son also participates in this experimental community of endless learning. I bring in TLC my skills as a designer, organizer and love for research through connection with the environment and self-discovery.
